GARDEN CREATED WITH SUPPORT FROM: ASCII, Institut Pasteur, ADEME, ANR. An art project inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky’s Stalker, exploring nature’s resilience and transformation in landscapes affected by human activity. The project examines how plants, fungi and microorganisms adapt to radiation, pollution and contaminated environments, creating new conditions for life.

An exhibition at Le Fresnoy exploring the future of humanity as technology increasingly shapes and transforms bodies, minds and everyday life. Sixteen artists examine questions of technological enhancement, transformation and the relationship between humans and emerging technologies.

An exhibition exploring the idea of collective immunity as a metaphor for resilience in times of global uncertainty. Through different artistic approaches, the participating artists reflect on isolation, creativity and the possibility of regeneration in response to social and political crises.

Tree Story

An international art and research project exploring trees, Indigenous knowledge and environmental relationships. Through an exhibition, publication, podcast and educational programme, it brings together artistic practices and ecological perspectives to examine cooperation, sustainability and long-term thinking.

Femmes guerrières femmes en combat

An exhibition inspired by a historical dictionary of women warriors and the ways female courage, power and identity have been represented throughout history. The project explores the relationship between gender, heroism and social expectations through a dialogue between two artists.

Developed with researchers from Western Sydney University and choreographers from FORM Dance Projects, EDEN Parramatta translates scientific data and the histories of trees into contemporary dance and performance.

A performative symposium exploring the therapeutic potential of art in response to natural disasters, war and the COVID-19 pandemic. Bringing together scientists, researchers, art professionals and specialists in therapy and psychoanalysis, the event examines how artistic practices can support healing, care and the transformation of trauma.

A programme at Palais de Tokyo exploring the relationship between contemporary art, ecology and mental health. An immersive musical and theatrical adaptation of Tarkovsky’s Stalker, inviting audiences to move freely among the performers while listening through high-fidelity headphones. The work explores the film’s science-fiction atmosphere, cinematic language and mystical dimensions.

Arctic Congress Bodø 2024

ICASS XI, UArctic Congress and High North Dialogue bring together researchers, policymakers, businesses and students to exchange knowledge on Arctic issues. Hosted by Nordland Research Institute and Nord University.

The Zone

The Zone is a contemporary response to Tarkovsky’s Stalker. The project uses artificial intelligence and a new material made from milk to create works that explore the possibility of extinguishing violence and moving towards acceptance.

Co-Creative Community Workshop: Biocultural Heritage and Climate Adaptation in Arctic Cities

The workshop in Anchorage will gather researchers, museum professionals, practitioners from the fields of education, urban planning, housing, transportation, and arts. It aims at engaging the local and Indigenous communities of Anchorage and the area in public discussions and in an art creation process addressing the role of natural and cultural heritage (with a focus on urban green spaces and infrastructure) in climate adaptation.
