AnthropOcean

The project operates at the intersection of artistic and scientific inquiry, offering a sensitive and critical exploration of the transformations affecting the oceans in the age of the Anthropocene. AnthropOcean examines the often-invisible dynamics shaping marine environments, including pollution, ecological disruption, and the direct and indirect impacts of human activities. Through digital installations, data visualisation, and real-time interactive systems, the project makes perceptible complex environmental processes that usually remain beyond human perception.

At the core of the project lies a close collaboration with leading scientific and environmental partners. AnthropOcean was developed in partnership with the Surfrider Foundation, an internationally recognised organisation dedicated to the protection of oceans and coastlines, as well as with researchers from the CNRS. These collaborations ensure a rigorous dialogue between artistic practice and scientific knowledge, positioning art as a space where disciplines converge and where research becomes both a material for creation and a powerful tool for environmental awareness.
