The project operates at the intersection of artistic and scientific inquiry, offering a sensitive and critical exploration of the transformations affecting the oceans in the age of the Anthropocene. AnthropOcean examines the often-invisible dynamics shaping marine environments, including pollution, ecological disruption, and the direct and indirect impacts of human activities. Through digital installations, data visualisation, and real-time interactive systems, the project makes perceptible complex environmental processes that usually remain beyond human perception.

At the core of the project lies a close collaboration with leading scientific and environmental partners. AnthropOcean was developed in partnership with the Surfrider Foundation, an internationally recognised organisation dedicated to the protection of oceans and coastlines, as well as with researchers from the CNRS. These collaborations ensure a rigorous dialogue between artistic practice and scientific knowledge, positioning art as a space where disciplines converge and where research becomes both a material for creation and a powerful tool for environmental awareness.

Works emerging from the project have been presented in major exhibition contexts, notably at the CRAC Occitanie / Pyrénées–Méditerranée in Sète.

Dancing Data: an intimate link to the living

National Botanical Conservatory of Mascarin

A symposium exploring artistic approaches to trees, ecosystems and the living world through data and digital technologies. The programme brings together artistic and scientific perspectives, using dance and digital visual practices to develop new ways of perceiving and engaging with living environments.

Ethics – Durability – Ecology – Nature (EDEN)

EDEN (Ethics – Durability – Ecology – Nature) is a long-term art and research program exploring relationships between humans and living ecosystems. Through collaborations with scientists and local communities, it investigates ecological intelligence, sustainability, and new forms of dialogue with the natural world.
